The Kickoff project was launched in November, 2005, when various missionary agencies leaders, churches and international christian sports organizations united to build a structure and started planning for the 2006 FIFA Worldcup in Germany.Bringing together contacts, experiences, people and visions with the means to accomplish and impact Germany in a significative way, the office and structure named KICKOFF was established.Important people and leaders from these organizations came together to meet and train so that every one of them shared the same vision. This way, when returning to their own countries, each one would give continuity to this mission, mobilizing local teams to reach Germany. International organizations worked together, hand in hand with local missionaries and churches from various denominations: nations came together with the same objective. To have the possibility to learn from each other and discover the strong aspects of every culture caused great impact in the lives not only of the German people, but also from the ones who came from all over the world. When the 2006 worldcup ended and the Cup went home to Italy, all of the teams which were involved with the Kickoff project got together to celebrate the presence of God and everything He had done during the event, bringing attention from the local media and transforming this reunion into a huge testimony to the entire world. After the success the project had in Germany, the most important people involved in the Kickoff project 2006 remained acquaintanced throughout the 4 years between the 2006 worldcup and the 2010 worldcup, in South Africa. Beyond the experiences already obtained in Germany during the 2006 worldcup, everyone involved with the project took into consideration the importance of the Ultimate Goal, an iniciative taken by various national and international organizations depending on the Government’s cooperation in making events in the stadium mediations in the host cities from the 2010 South Africa Worldcup.During the 2010 Worldcup, our team contributed in significant ways so that the other teams could carry hope and happiness to many through Jesus Christ.
